Office of Student Financial Aid

The goal of the Office of Student Financial Aid is to assist students in securing a quality education without missing an opportunity because of their financial situation. We meet our goal through two major objectives:

  1. Supplement the efforts of our students (and those supporting our students) in meeting educational costs
  2. Provide financial aid to students who would be unable to attend this institution without such assistance.

Athens State University can assist qualified students with grants, loans, and scholarships from Federal, State, Institutional and other funding sources. Athens State University, the Athens State University Foundation and the University’s Alumni Association offer more than 160 scholarships awarded annually. Institutional Scholarships are available with No Application. Complete the admissions and financial aid processed early for consideration.

The Free Application for Student Federal Aid (FAFSA) for the 2020-2021 Academic Year is available October 1st, 2019.
